Shabana Azmi's mother, Shaukat Kaifi Azmi, has been admitted to Breach Candy Hospital. She was rushed to the SoBo hospital's ICU around 1.15 this afternoon.

While more details on her health condition are awaited, we can tell you that both Shabana and her husband Javed Akhtar were by the ailing lady's side for quite some time.

Here's wishing Shaukat Kaifi Azmi a speedy recovery.
